Let's get the greed angle primary.
There are a number of industrialists who have invested massive amounts of money in these substantial turbines, and who have been completely hoodwinked into thinking that this bigger they make them, this higher the profits. There are better solutions now available, but these original investors are attempting to stifle these revolutionary new products. It's like the development in the electric powered car - for many years this was stifled by the oil giants and your established car manufacturers - why - as they all had a vested monetary investment reason Not to promote them.
But pick what? This technology can be so obsolete now, that I am dismayed quite possibly still being promoted. Why? Because it not only is a waste of (our) government money, but we'll be stuck with these dinosaur style monsters for over 20 years, creating both an eyesore and then a drain on our current economic climate!
Now let's evaluate the deception angle...
A few weeks ago, on that gorgeously warm HOT weekend afterwards of September, I took my family up to the Norfolk shore at Wells Next Ocean on Saturday and On the. Both days were gloriously hot, and so still... Yet once we passed by a wind it manually farm near March, what did we see but a large group of wind wind turbines. And although it had been so still the trees are not moving, these monsters were spinning quite wildly! When you imagine that each of those blades weighed around forty tons, how much kinetic energy do you consider would be needed to turn these turbines at the speed we were looking at going? More than a 5 mph wind. Which means that, they were obviously being powered by electricity from the grid. Why? To use a show to the gullible public they will were working!
Male cow poo!!!
Then again, let's look at the efficiency these monsters. With each number of blades weighing around 40 tons, it will take around 400 to at least one, 000 tons of concrete to carry the masts steady. How much CO2 do you think that needed? Well, it's concerning 1 ton of carbon to every ton with concrete! And the carbon had to create over 40 a lot of steel blades?
Within our area, where there is lots of low lying land, imagine the threat to flooding which has a thousand tons of concrete dug into massive holes for any tower.
Then, consider the power wasted inside gearbox that helps these kind of monster blades rotate, let alone the power needed to turn the darned eyesores into any wind. With forty ton weight blades dangling vertically, just think of the worries the gearboxes ought to be capable of withstanding, and also the heat to be dissipated.
Then of course, look at the range of wind speed they use under. Too slow, and they can't cope, too high and plants have the brakes implemented!
Also, each time a turbine needs maintenance, but not just will you lose just about all power, you will also need massive cranes and also other resources to fix them.
